From London and back - where Tony has lived

Created by Marianne 3 years ago

Tony was born in Hackney and lived there in his early childhood. He moved to South Woodham Ferrers. Whilst there his parents decided to emigrate to Australia. They had friends who had moved out there and Australia wanted British people to move there. However, the friends didn’t like it and returned home so in the end Tony’s parents decided not to go. During the process they had got rid of the majority of thier possessions living in a caravan whilst awaiting the move.  Once they decided to stay in the Uk they moved to Tiptree.

Tony’s married life started with our house in Clacton in 1980. We then moved to Colchester living at the Willows from 1985. After Tony’s redundancy we could go anywhere in the country and so I applied for jobs all over before getting a job at Newham council. Tony had secured an agency job in Hackney and so we moved back to London settling in Hornchurch in 1997.

Once we were both retired we moved to Rowhedge in 2018
